Rick Carter is trained in ART.  He is experienced in knowing how to palpate and treat more than 300 muscular and fascial injuries and over 100 nerve entrapments, which often cause numbness and tingling.

Every ART session is a combination of examination and treatment.  Once the injury has been assessed, Active Release Techniques are used to treat the problem. Motion, hands on treatment and patient motion is used to ‘free up’ the problem areas.

ART is successful for professional and amateur athletes, people injured in auto accidents or at work, and people who just work hard and hurt.  Symptoms include aches and pains, burning muscles, numbness and/or tingling.

Active Release Techniques

A.R.T.

The ART professional uses his/her hands to evaluate the texture, tightness, and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by directed tension with specific patient movement. Treatment duration and frequency may vary depending on the severity and complexity of the injury.

ART works very well in combination with traditional techniques, such as modalities, exercise, taping, etc for plantar fasciitis, patellar tendonitis, Achilles tendonitis, shin splints, rotator cuff tendonitis, lateral epicondylitis, etc.
